“Mama and her baby boy,” the expectant mama, 32, captioned the image cradling her baby bump in a stunning silver Yanina Couture gown.
But this should come as no surprise to her fans.
When expecting her now 21-month-old daughter Luna, the model got candid about undergoing in vitro fertilization and gender selection.
“I’ve made this decision,” Teigen said at the time. “Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl.’”
At the time, Teigen said her husband, Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend, would be a doting daddy with a daughter.
“I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me,” she shared. “It excited me to see … just the thought of seeing him with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond. A boy will come along. We’ll get there too, so it’s not like we really have to pick. But he definitely is very lucky to have a little girl. And this girl is going to be so completely lucky to have John as her papa — it’s crazy!”
And after Luna, the A-listers were determined to have a boy. Earlier this year, Teigen revealed that the single embryo they has left from previous rounds of IVF is male.
“A little boy is next for sure,” Teigen said at the time.
The model also confirmed that they “have a boy on ice.”
While Teigen and Legend have been open about their journey with gender selection, fellow A-listers Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have remained mum on the topic.
Reportedly, the couple underwent an IVF gender-selection process for their son, now 2-year-old Saint, and their newborn daughter Chicago.
“She only had boy embryos implanted,” a source revealed during her pregnancy with Saint.
During the procedure — which can start at roughly $17,000 — doctors isolate fertilized embryos of the preferred gender prior to transferring them into the uterus.
“Kanye and Kim are so excited,” said another insider at the time. “Kanye loves Nori more than anything, but to make his world complete, he wanted a little boy, an heir.”
Kardashian and West are also parents to 4-year-old daughter North.
